The location's perfect for wandering around Rouen, close to all the sights. The breakfast was exceptional with loads of choice. Staff were super friendly, too. Our room was clean and had ample storage.
No negatives from this place.

No air conditioning, inconvenient lift access to first floor!!! Temporary bag storage issues during reception hours!!! Noisy main road could disrupt sleep despite closed doors!!!

City vibes and comfy stay in Rouen 🌆
Super central location, made exploring easy. Got a lekker comfortable double room with a massive bed—definitely a good night's rest! The staff were sharp-sharp and really friendly, went out of their way to help us. Plus, I loved that we could park right there. Nice touch!
The bathroom was a bit outdated, could use a freshen-up, but honestly, it did the job.

Had a good night's sleep in a comfy bed, but the hallway lights were dodgy, leaving us in the dark. Would've loved a bit more space in the bathroom.

L'Authentique serves the crispiest French fries I've ever tasted, paired perfectly with a sumptuous selection of meats and cheese for breakfast. The cosy old-style double room, despite its slight wear, ensured a comfy night, all while being greeted by the warm and welcoming owner, who is always a pleasure to chat with.
While the bedroom and bathroom were a tad tired and could use a fresh coat of paint, they were clean and well-maintained. We did wish for 'off street' parking, but it turned into an adventure parking in the lively streets of Rouen overnight.

Comfortable room with polite and helpful staff.
My experience at Hotel 1Er Consul Rouen was far from pleasant. The hallway lights only activate with motion, leaving us in pitch darkness while navigating to our room. The lack of air conditioning made the room unbearable, and the pillows were large to the point of being uncomfortable. Adding to our frustrations was the mandatory underground parking with limitations that made it inconvenient.

We had a canny stay here, the location's spot on for exploring Rouen. The bed was dead comfy, and the staff were really friendly, howay! Though the bathroom could do with a bit o' a makeover.

A Unique Stay in Rouen with Character
The quirky decor sets a distinctive atmosphere, though the dark colors and corridor lighting may not be to everyone’s taste. The hotel’s location is prime for exploring Rouen, but I recommend bringing a fan for warmer days. Enjoy a delightful breakfast at L'Authentique nearby!

The location is ideal for exploring the city, being just a short walk from key sights, and the rooms provide a comfortable space to unwind. Cleanliness is evident throughout, and the friendly staff are always willing to help. the absence of air conditioning made the stay a bit uncomfortable during warmer weather, and the dated bathroom could benefit from some updates. Parking nearby is convenient but can be a little tricky to navigate.
